Butterfly valve refers to a valve whose closure element is a disc which rounds with its shaft to control the valve's on and off to play a role of cutting and throttling on the pipeline, and it is also called flap valve which is simple structured regulating valve, and also be used as the on-off control of low pressure pipeling amboceptor.

The full open or full close of the butterfly valve is smaller than 90°. There has no self-locking capacity of the disc and pole, so it is necessary to add a worm reducer on the pole for the disc's orientation. Adding a worm reducer is not only can enable the self-locking capacity of the disc, but also  improve the operating performance of the disc for which can stop at any location.

The industry dedicated butterfly valve possesses the properties of resistance to high temperature, suitable for wide pressure, large nominal diameter.
