Disadvantages of PVC Pipe Fittings

As everybody known that, PVC pipe fittings is widely used in the distribution of both high and low pressure air and water. Like stainless steel pipe fittings, it also contains many types, for example, tee, cross, coupler, adaptor, bushing and so on. It offers lots of superior benefits and widely used in home and commercial buildings.

However, there are also some disadvantages. For example the main demerit is lack of high temperature resistance, sometimes also called flame resistance, than other popular materials such as low carbon steel or copper. Some people have also say that using PVC fittings to transport or flow water has meant that they have a slight plastic-y taste to their water. Stainless steel pipe fitting is lightweight and flexible that makes them much easier to transport and install. While PVC fittings is a little bulky. This is another disadvantage.
